Seoul --> Shenyang, China

Ended up having dinner with a small biotech business owner named Dora Lee last night at the Hyatt. She was friendly, if conservative, and thought I reminded her of her daughter (which is why she struck up a conversation with me). Traveling alone, it is nice to make new friends, even if briefly.

Woke up at 4 AM this morning due to the time difference effect. Upshot was that I got to feed my online addiction, and chat with some people on Facebook, which, starting today, is shut down in China (unless you've got a VPN). Yay for the permissiveness of South Korea! Had some extra time at the airport, too, and bought about $100 worth of alcohol for my 85 year old grandfather. What can I say? It's what the man wanted, and I refuse to buy cigarettes. I just hope he doesn't over-imbibe and fall and break his hip or something...
